There might have been enormous loss of life and property according the international media. It has been said that the building has been targeted with three rockets. On Monday morning at about quarter past ten according to the clock of the spot, three rockets have been observed entering into the premises of the Parliament Building, as per the report.
Taking the charge of attack, Afghani Taliban have made claim of huge loss in the attack. Afghanistan’s new parliament building in Kabul came under a rocket attack by the Taliban Monday. No casualties have been reported as yet. The parliament building was inaugurated in December 2015.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said it resulted in heavy casualties, according to Reuters, a British company which employs journalists all over the world.
The rocket attack took place when security officials were entering the building to brief lawmakers Monday, local media reported. According to reports, at least four rockets were fired.
"Some three rockets landed near the new parliament building at about 10:15 a.m. (local time). At least one rocket struck inside the premises, releasing black smoke in the air," said a witness.
Taliban militants had attacked the Afghanistan parliament building in June last year when many high-level officials were inside. While security officers prevented the militants from storming inside the building, they fired at the complex with rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns, leaving two people dead, according to the information.
